Cellular jail

The capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Port Blair is poignant reminder of the many sacrifices of freedom fighters. The Cellular jail here is perhaps one of the most infamous remnants of India’s struggle for independence. The main motive of the establishment of this prison was solitary confinement of the prisoners. The wings were built in a manner that the face of each cell only saw the back of the cell opposite to it.

Gandhi Park

Located in the heart of the city, Gandhi Park is just the perfect sightseeing place in Andaman to relax, rejuvenate, and revive. The park has its share of history too; the Dilthaman tank in the park was once the lone source of drinking water in Andaman. A symbol of the manmade brilliance, the park has a big statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the center. Around it, there are few other historical monuments such as the remains of a bunker and a Japanese temple. Amusement rides, nature trail around the lake and boating in the lake are some of the activities that one take part in the Gandhi Park.

Corbyn's Cove beach

The Corbyn's Cove beach is just 8 kilometers from the City center, and a prominent sightseeing place in Andaman. With pleasant blue sea water and lush green coconut palms, the beach allows visitors to relax alongside and enjoy several water sports available on the shore of the beach. Some of the water activities that one can undertake and enjoy over a visit to Corbyn's Cove Beach include scuba diving, surfing, and boating. Further, the beach is also a perfect location for taking pleasure of sunbathing, swimming and surfing.

Chatham Saw Mill

Chatham Saw Mill is the saw mill situated in Chatham Island of Andaman and Nicobar Islands in India. It was set up in 1883 with the primary objective to meet the local requirements of saw and timber for the constructional works. It is owned by the state government

Aberdeen Bazar

Located in Port Blair, Aberdeen Bazar is easily accessible. Aberdeen Bazar is located in a very good area and is just about 6.9 km from the centre of Port Blair via RGT Road. You can travel to this amazing place by hiring a cab or you can travel by local transportations such as taxis, autos, buses, minibuses. Two wheelers and cycles are also available for hire in most of the places in Port Blair. Though travelling by cab is the best option. The place is well-connected and once you reach the destination you can see many other places too .

Mud Valconey

This mud volcano is one more main attraction for visitors travelling in Andaman islands. Though this Volcano is nature's wonder, it may disappoint the people who see this physically. This Volcano is nearer to Baratang Jetty of Andaman islands (middle Andaman). It takes atleast a day to visit this place and return to Port Blair. People have to travel through road in a Jarwan tribal reserve (forest area) and cross the sea at Baratang jetty. After crossing the sea people reach the Uttara Jetty . From Uttara Jetty this place is 20 minutes journey by road.

Limestone Caves

The standard package for this trip includes Limestone Caves also. After crossing the Baratang jetty, travellors first go towards Limestone Caves and then return back to the same Uttara Jetty. The Sea Journey and the Journey through Mangrooves is a memorable one. From Uttara Jetty visitors have to travel towards Mud Volcano which is only 20minutes journey. Vehicles reach nearer to mud volcano and then the place can be reached by 10minutes walk. There is a small hut constructed nearer to volcano erruption to take rest and relax.

Ross Island

Ross Island, officially known as Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island, is an island of the Andaman Islands. It belongs to the South Andaman administrative district, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.[6] The island is situated 3 km (2 mi) east from central Port Blair. The historic ruins are a tourist attraction.

Viper Island

Mount Harriet National Park

Mount Harriet National Park is a national park located in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands union territory of India. The park, established in 1969, covers about 4.62 km2 (18.00 mi2). Mount Harriet (383 metres (1,257 ft)[2]), which is part of the park, is the third-highest peak in the Andaman and Nicobar archipelago next to Saddle Peak (732 metres (2,402 ft)) in North Andaman and Mount Thullier (568 metres (1,864 ft)) in Great Nicobar.

Chidiya Tapu

Chidiya Tapu is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Andaman, and if you are on a trip to the islands, do not forget to spend a few hours at this wonderful place. Chidiya Tapu is mainly popular for its wide range of birds and is a haven for bird watchers. Havelock Island

Havelock Island is one of the largest and most popular islands in Andaman and Nicobar. Spread over a massive area of 113.93 square kilometres, it is situated 57 km north-east of the capital city Port Blair. Havelock Island is a paradise of silky white sand beaches, crystal blue water, rich corals and verdant forests. There is no dearth of beauty on this little island as the reputed and much-loved Radhanagar and Vijaynagar Beaches are also right on its southern shores. Havelock Island is also a favourite amongst those who want to engage in scuba diving, snorkelling, and deep sea diving .

Radhanagar Beach

Havelock islands is home to Radhanagar beach, one of the most popular beaches in India and also awarded the best beach in Asia by TIME magazine in 2004. The beach is situated around a distance of 12 kilometers from the Havelock islands and is a must visit site. The waters are sparkling blue and devoid of any wave action. There are a huge number of activities that one can do like scuba diving, snorkeling, boating, fishing etc. The beach is especially popular for couples as it is almost vacant and the serene environment adds to the romance. One can also enjoy elephant rides here.

Diglipur Island

Diglipur island is a prominent ecotourism destination that covers an expanse of greenery, and marine life. The island is mainly known for its beaches like Kalipur Beach, Ross & Smith Islands, Ramnagar Beach, and Pathi Level Beach that hosts activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, and trekking. Besides, Diglipur happens to the the largest peaks in the archipelago, which often remain thronged by the trekkers to see its unique wildlife. Do visit Ramnagar Beach, and Kalipur Beach to see the turtle nesting. A trek through the 41 cluster of Limestone caves is a must too .
